I encountered Della while walking my dog in St Andrews Woods. My dog was on the lead and her five dogs were off-lead. After confirming my dog was friendly, we chatted, and I mentioned that I could not let him off because he would not come back. She introduced herself as a dog trainer and offered, unprompted, to show me a recall technique if I had a few minutes. I let my dog off the lead and he joined her dogs. Della instructed me to walk away without calling or looking back. Although hesitant, I followed her guidance. Within 30 seconds, my dog left the group and returned to me completely unprompted—something he has never done before. We repeated the exercise later in the walk with the same result. Della was generous with her time and knowledge, and the immediate results were remarkable. Based on this experience, I will be booking formal training sessions and would highly recommend her to others.

We first met for an initial review so Della could see what my dog really needed help with — mainly walking off the leash, recall, and running out the front door. She also took the time to see how I was as an owner with my dog, which really helped. From the start, she was patient, calm, and clearly understood his behaviour. We then booked a few follow-up sessions, and I loved that everything was sorted in just a few! It’s such a relief to enjoy our walks now without me stressing. Highly recommend!
